Matthew Hellman Menomonie, WI, Obituary, Death: Matthew R. Hellman, age 32, of Menomonie, Wisconsin, tragically passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, in the Township of Dallas, Barron County. His untimely death has left a deep void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. Known for his kind heart, warm spirit, and unwavering loyalty to family and friends, Matthew touched many lives during his short time on earth.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Matthew was a beloved son, sibling, and friend. He grew up with a love for the outdoors and a passion for helping others. His strong work ethic and easygoing personality made him someone others could always rely on. Whether it was lending a hand to a neighbor or sharing a laugh with a friend, Matthew’s presence made life a little brighter for those around him.

Matthew was a graduate of Menomonie High School and went on to work in various fields where he was respected for his dedication and team spirit. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time with loved ones, hiking through Wisconsin’s scenic trails, and watching sports. He had a natural way of connecting with people, and his sense of humor was one of his most memorable qualities.

Above all, Matthew cherished his family. He was a devoted son, a protective brother, and a loving uncle. His family describes him as someone who always put others before himself and who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Memorial services to honor and celebrate Matthew’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. A visitation will take place from 1:00–4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, and again one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

As the community comes together to remember Matthew, his family encourages all who knew him to gather and share their memories, stories, and love. Though his life was cut far too short, the impact he made will continue to be felt by many for years to come.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Matthew’s memory to a local mental health or community support organization—causes that reflect his caring nature and desire to support those in need.
